Lithium cells prefer regular topping up over deep discharge. Keep the contacts clean and the tool out of direct heat. With FXONE tools, rotating two FXBB24 batteries extends the life of both.
Check the basics first: the base is plugged into a live outlet, the tool is seated fully on the contacts, and the contacts on both are clean and dry. A base that is worn, cracked or has bent pins should be replaced with the genuine part (FX870BASE, FX787BASE, FX825BASE or FX726BASE). If the tool charges on a known-good base but runtime is short, the battery is the issue.
