Match the foil kit to the shaver model. FOILFX02 (FXFS2 series) uses FXRF2 (silver), FXRF2G (gold), FXRF2B (black) or FXRF2RG (rose gold); FOILFX01 (FXFS1) uses FXRF1; the FX3 shaver uses FXX3RF (red) or FXX3RFB (black); the UVFOIL double-foil FXLFS2 uses FXLRF2 and the UVFOIL single-foil FXLFS1 uses FXLRF1; the LO-PROFX single-foil FXLPFS1 uses FXLPRF1; the COREFX double-foil shaver uses FX75RF2; and the FXONE GoldFX double-foil shaver uses FX79RF2G. Every kit includes the foil and cutter.
The FX787-series trimmers (GoldFX FX787G, SilverFX FX787S, BlackFX FX787BN, RoseFX FX787RG and the GoldFX+ and SilverFX+ models) take the FX707-series T-blades: FX707Z DLC/titanium ultra-thin standard-tooth, FX707B graphite fine-tooth, FX707B2 and FX707BD2 deep-tooth, FX707G2 gold and FX707RG2 rose-gold deep-tooth, and the FX7045B metal-injection-molded deep-tooth blade. The FX3 trimmer uses the FX703G blade. Tri-blades (FX603G, FX603B, FX8024B) are also stocked; see each product page for compatibility.
The FX870-series clippers (GoldFX FX870G, SilverFX FX870S, BlackFX FX870BN and RoseFX) take the taper blades FX801J stainless, FX803B graphite and FX802G DLC/titanium, and the fade blades FX8010J stainless, FX8010B graphite, FX8010G gold titanium and FX8010C ChameleonFX. The metal-injection-molded precision fade blades FX8022B, FX8022G and FX8022BL (22 teeth) and FX8027BL (27 teeth) also fit the FX870 platform; check the product page for LO-PROFX FX825 compatibility. The FX3 clipper uses FX903G.
A taper blade has a gradual, curved cutting edge for bulk removal and blending longer lengths. A fade blade has a straighter, finer edge that cuts closer and can be zero-gapped, so it is the choice for skin fades and tight blends. Most FX870 clippers ship with a taper blade; barbers who specialise in fades usually add an FX8010 or MIM fade blade. Salon Brandz stocks both.
Stainless steel (the J models) is the standard: reliable and easy to sharpen. Black graphite blades (B models) run cooler and resist corrosion. DLC (diamond-like carbon) and titanium-coated blades (Z, G and BL models) stay sharp longest, glide with less friction and run coolest, which is why the DLC/titanium T-blade FX707Z is the most popular trimmer blade at Salon Brandz. Metal-injection-molded (MIM) blades add tighter tolerances for the closest fades.
Replace shaver foils and cutters when the shave slows down, pulls, or the foil shows shiny spots or holes; with daily barbershop use that is typically every few months, and roughly once a year at home. Trimmer and clipper blades last longer if oiled after every use; replace or sharpen them when they start snagging or leaving lines. Keeping a spare foil kit at the station avoids downtime.
Loosen the two blade screws slightly, slide the cutting blade so its teeth sit just behind the guide blade (zero-gap means the edges are flush), keep the blade square to the housing, then re-tighten and test on the back of your hand. Zero-gapping gives the closest lineups but makes irritation more likely, so many barbers set trimmers slightly back for skin contact. Oil the blade after fitting.
Yes. Every blade and foil kit at Salon Brandz is a genuine BaBylissPRO part sourced from the authorized Canadian distributor, not an aftermarket copy. Genuine blades keep the fit, tolerances and warranty of your tool. We ship across Canada and to the United States from Scarborough, Ontario, offer pickup near Toronto, and provide Pro Access pricing for barbershops that buy blades in volume.
